Savant Open Developer Alliance Invites Mac Community

Osterville, MA., July 1, 2008-- Savant Systems LLC, with a visionary approach to control and home automation that emphasizes reliability and a maintenance-friendly open platform, announced its new Savant Open Developer Alliance program. The program was previewed and available to developers who attended Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Now for the first time, all Mac OS X developers can apply to join the alliance and create applicable Automator Actions that integrate with the Savant home automation and control platform based on Mac OS X.

Apple releases iPhone SDK Beta 6

Apple has released a new build of the iPhone SDK, Beta 6 Build 9M2192. This version requires Mac OS X 10.5.3, which was released earlier today.

WWDC "Sold Out" for the first time ever

Apple has confirmed that their Worldwide Developers Conference has sold out for the first time in its history.

"Response to this year's WWDC has been off the charts and we are delighted with the show of enthusiasm and support from the developer community for the new iPhone SDK," said Apple spokesman Bill Evans, according to Macworld on Wednesday.

Apple wouldn't say how many developers registered for this year's WWDC, although recent WWDC events have attracted about 4,000 developers.
