REAL SOFTWARE RELEASES REALBASIC 5.5.3

AUSTIN, Texas (July 28, 2004) - REAL Software, Inc. announced today
the release of REALbasic 5.5.3. REALbasic is the powerful,
easy-to-use development tool that enables Windows and Mac users to
create software for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.

In addition to improving the product's overall reliability, REALbasic 5.5.3:

• Adds more options for building REALbasic plug-ins. Developers can now use
  familiar environments like GCC, Visual Studio and Apple's Xcode to

• Provides more reliable cross-platform group project management
  capabilities in REALbasic Project Manager.
  
  
• Improves support for Apple's Address Book for Mac OS X.
