News Submissions

UPDATE - this no longer applies since I switched to Drupal. One of Drupal's big advantages over PHP-Nuke is that it automatically generates a summary for the home page.

For anyone who submits news items, please enter only a short sumnmary in story text, which will appear on the front page, and the full article in extended text. See the FAQ for more info. I'm looking at new software to run this site which will make article submission a lot easier and simplify formatting.

MicFlex USB Microphone For GarageBand Users Now Shipping

Today, MacMice announces that its MicFlex USB microphone system for GarageBand users is shipping.

The MicFlex offers a new standard of better than CD-quality digital audio performance for users of Apple's GarageBand software, with its industry-first 16-bit, 48KHz USB audio conversion quality. MidFlex is perfect for recording vocal or acoustic instrument tracks into Apple's music making software. And, MicFlex is both a desktop and a portable microphone solution. Because its USB mic assembly is housed in a small aluminum pod at the end of an 18-inch flexible tube, the tube can be removed from its base, and used plugged directly into a Powerbook or iBook USB port, for a professional level portable recording system. MicFlex is plug and play with all Macs with a USB port. The MicFlex is now shipping, is priced at $49.99, and is available from any of MacMice's 1700 worldwide resellers, or from the MacMice web site. ( http://www.macmice.com/micflex.html )
