NetNewsWire 2.0 to be a free upgrade

Ranchero Software has announced that NetNewsWire 2.0 will be available as a free upgrade. They expect to release a public beta in early June and to ship by WWDC.

NetNewsWire 2.0 has many new features including a built-in browser, searching, syncing between computers, smart feeds which show matching headlines from all feeds (like smart playlists in iTunes), Atom support, and Scripted Feeds (generated by AppleScript or shell scripts rather than an RSS file).
