Happy Birthday, Macintosh
19 years ago today, on January 24, 1984, Apple introduced the Macintosh.
The original Macintosh sold for $2600, with an 8 MHz 68000 processor, 128K of RAM, and a single floppy drive. The only software available when it originally shipped was MacPaint, MacWrite, which were soon followed by Microsoft Basic & Multiplan.
I bought my first Macintosh (Serial number F4040USM0001) a month later. Since then I've owned a Mac Plus, SE/30, IIsi, PowerMac 6100, PowerBook 100, Duo 270c, Motorola StarMax, Blue & White G3/350, iBook SE/466 (Graphite), G4/500 AGP Minitower (which I'm now using), and a 2001 iBook (Dual USB).
