PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A Better Finder Select is a contextual menu plugin for the Macintosh Finder
that allows power users to filter file selections based on a range of
criteria.
The simplest selection method is via partial file name matches, e.g.
"select all files which end in '.gif'", or "select all files which contain
the word 'web'". Unix-style wildcard matches such as "image*.gif" provide a
more powerful alternative, but it is the regular expression matching ,
familiar to BBEdit , Grep or Perl users that provide the ultimate file
selection mechanism.
If all this sounds a bit complicated to you, don't worry. A Better Finder
Select features a simple and intuitive user interface. Simply download it
and give it a try! You soon won't want to live without it!
A Better Finder Select is the ideal companion for " A Better Finder Rename", which allows users to rename multiple files quickly and effectively. In
the same tool series, "A Better Finder Creators & Types" allows you to
redefine file-to-application associations by setting the file's creator and
type codes.
Together the tools of the A Better Finder series (according to MacGadget)
provide "a lean, mean file handling machine".
