Apple's WWDC Bash featured Ozomatli
The highlight of Apple's World Wide Developers Conference is usually the Thursday night Bash at Apple's campus in Cupertino. This year they had it at Yerba Buena Gardens across the street from Moscone Center. A few of us were disappointed at first, but it turned out to be one of their best in recent years.
Most likely they made the change due to high gas prices and the inconvenience of transporting over 5000 people on several busses for a long drive. Yerba Buena Gardens is very convenient and can easily accommodate a large crowd.
Apple usually has a fairly popular indie band at their bashes, although last year they only had a DJ. This year they surprised us with Ozomatli, who many of us became familiar with after hearing "Saturday Night" in an iPod commercial.
Ozomatli put on an awesome show and anyone who wasn't already a fan certainly became one. They had the whole crowd of geeks dancing, ending the show with a huge conga line as they marched off the stage still playing.
