Office 2008 for Mac hits beta

APC Magazine reports that Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac has been released to private beta. No public beta or release date has been announced yet.

Office 2008 features a completely new user interface with a streamlined appearance featuring tabs and a panel similar to Office 2007's ribbon. A new widget-like application called MyDay gives easy access to Entourage's appointments and tasks.
