Devon, United Kingdom – App Developer, Rory Buckley is delighted to announce the latest version of Weather Pod, his popular weather discovery app developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Version 2.1 includes new features and improvements, building off the success of the previous version.
Up until now, Weather Pod has mainly been focused on local weather discovery based on the users current location. Version 2.1 is all about location search, as this new major feature has been built within the app’s existing structure. The location search feature opens up an almost endless weather exploration experience, as it enables you to explore any worldwide location for live conditions, forecasts, stats, astronomy and almanac.
“Having the ability to switch between local conditions and worldwide weather exploration have long been in my vision for the app,” explained Rory Buckley, developer. “With the app generally having a simple and quick ‘swipe’ controlled theme, I didn’t want a new major feature interfering with the existing visible structure of the app. So to accomplish the integration of this feature meant carefully and cleverly building sub-menus that would quickly navigate to this new option.”
Other noteworthy improvements included in this version include iPad landscape compatibility, advanced visual improvements and general performance improvements. Since the initial release of Weather Pod last year, the app has received much praise, including mentions and recommendations by bloggers and the recent feature in the Digital Trends top weather apps for iPhone collection.
