New Kids App from The Man Who Puzzles America

Chicago, Illinois – David L. Hoyt authors the daily Jumble(TM) (600+ newspapers), USA Today Word Roundup(TM), and numerous other puzzles in print and online. He is the most syndicated puzzle creator in America and over 8 million people play his games every day. Just 2 Fun is David’s latest creation and his first app for younger players (ages 9 ). The app will be available for iPad, iPad mini, iPhone 4 and 5 and iPod touch devices on December 11, 2013.

The Just 2 Fun app was developed by David’s long-time partner in game design, Adveractive Inc. of Chapel Hill, N.C. Last summer, David Hoyt and Adveractive published a hit game app, Just 2 Words, for players of all ages. Word game lovers have been gushing over Just 2 Words, giving it nearly unanimous top ratings and playing the game over 3 million times in its short life (launched July 17). Just 2 Fun is a kids’ version of this enormously successful puzzle app.

Just 2 Fun is utterly simple to play and a delightful challenge for young minds ages 9 and up. David has created puzzles (over 300!) centered on the vocabulary and interests of kids. Each uses pictures as visual clues; and every answer is just 2 words. All answer letters are provided and either answer word may be guessed first. The game encourages creative thinking and expands the vocabulary and general knowledge of players. Kids learn alternative spellings for homonyms and get unlimited “David Hints” or other helpers so they don’t get stuck. The “aha” moments when kids figure out the puzzles are truly special! Kids get into it and want to play puzzle after puzzle after puzzle.

David Hoyt doesn’t want to pigeonhole the app as “educational” because he believes that it is too much fun to be stuck in that category. But David does say “This app is a real creative thinking experience for kids; and they love it! Sure, they learn some vocabulary, and some facts, and they definitely use their spelling skills. But most of all, they have to get from my visual clues (often tricky) to my two-word answers and that takes creative thinking!”
