Pfaeffikon, Switzerland – Power App today is pleased to introduce Wallet Camera 1.0 – Talking Pictures, its advanced photo app that lets users customize their photos with a suite of filters, tools, effects, frames, captions, and audio recording. Featuring built-in Instagram, flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and email connectivity, the app allows users to make their photos truly stand out from among the more than 100 million photos emailed and posted daily. Wallet Camera works with new photos shot from within the app or images saved in Photos.

Feature Highlights:
* Amazing filters
* Built-in voice recorder
* Single and multiple frames
* Cropping/cutting/stretching tools
* Sketching & doodle tools
* Full suite of photo-editing tools
* Library of multiple background images
* Caption & text generator tools
* Library of pre-composed text captions
* Built-in Instagram, flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and email connectivity
* Save or share a voice-enhanced photo as an MPEG 4

At launch in portrait orientation, Wallet Camera offers two modes of opening a photo to edit: Camera or Library. Camera mode activates the front- or rear-facing camera of the iDevice, allowing users to snap a live photo. After previewing their snapshot, they can Retake or Use the picture. Library mode lets the photographer browse through the Photos folder containing the Photo Library and Camera Rolls. Once a photo has been selected, via Camera or Library modes, it opens fullscreen in the app’s editing window. From a retractable tab bar at the bottom, users can access all the app’s capabilities.

The tab bar contains five buttons: Tools, Frames, Doodle, Effects, and Text. Touching the Tools button opens a horizontally scrolling selection of actions above the tab bar: Cut, Audio, Rotate, Crop, Skew, Splice, Swirl, Shear, Implode, Mirror, Ripple, and Spread. Cut, Crop, and Rotate are the most basic editing tools, making it easy to eliminate unwanted parts of the picture and orient it for best viewing. The remaining visual tools give users an opportunity to stylize their photos with continuously variable controls. Particularly noteworthy are the Splice and Spread tools, which provide image-processing options rarely seen on mobile devices.

Touching the Audio button brings up the Record screen, displaying the photo fullscreen with red Record and Play buttons beneath. Tapping Record activates the iDevice’s built-in mic, allowing users to include a voice message with their photo (music playing aloud will also be captured by the microphone). This feature combines the personalization of the sender’s voice greeting with the simplicity of a photo in a manageable file size that can be easily shared.

The Frames button in the bottom tab bar lets the user choose from some very imaginative framing effects, including those designed to contain single or multiple photos. For example, the photo is a canvas displayed in a museum or a Polaroid on top of an open passport. Also included is a library of travel photos, which can be used as photo backgrounds.

The Doodle feature lets creative photo editors draw on top of their photos in the thickness and color of their choice. Effects accesses 10 different photo effects, some of which will be familiar to users of Instagram. These effects may be applied only to the photo or to the photo/frame/background, and Wallet Camera provides continuously variable controls for each effect that lets users achieve exactly the desired result.

Finally, the Text feature makes it easy to superimpose captions or labels. The ergonomic control panel enables selection of 7 different fonts, 10 different colors, and type sizes between 10 and 100 points. The Captions Library can be opened from the control panel, allowing selection from dozens of pre-composed captions in various categories, like Birthday, Inspirational, Get Well, and Humorous.

“The ability to edit and modify pictures and make them stand out from the crowd has become more and more important in these times, when hundreds of millions of people use their mobile devices to connect to social and photo sharing networks,” stated Christian Schaffner, CEO of Power App AG. “Wallet Camera has been especially designed to offer great results plus ease of use.”
