Munich, Germany – Are you on top of your appointments? More and more people are using the best-selling calendar app miCal for the iPhone or miCal HD for the iPad. The digital organization miracle convinces with a beautiful design, numerous alternative viewpoints and some unusual features. Today miCal is having its second birthday. To celebrate the occasion prices are coming down for three days. For the past two years many iPhone users have relied on the alternative calendar app miCal. One of the reasons is the particularly beautiful design. Both apps are now being offered at only $ 0.99.
After starting miCal on the iPhone it displays a unique dashboard view indicating the current time in a radio alarm clock design, a calendar page for the month, the calendar week, the date and the current weather forecast. Additionally, an overview of unfinished tasks plus upcoming appointments and birthdays is available.
Alternatively, several portrait and landscape views of appointments for the day, the week, the month and the year are being offered. miCal incorporates calendar data and birthdays from Outlook, Exchange, and even Facebook Events. They may be combined into a single overview and displayed in individual colors.
New appointments can also be recorded directly in miCal – including a from-to-time, a detailed description, an alarm and an automatically executed repetition.
Via in-app purchase ($ 0.99) the module “Task Management” may be activated. It manages general tasks such as a to-do list, offering the option to attach a deadline or priority to each project. Telecom users receive the add-on automatically and free of charge.
miCal is celebrating its birthday: Prices are coming down!
miCal has been on the market for two years and a lot has transpired during this time. miCal inventor Holger Frank: “We have consistently upgraded and expanded the app to turn it into something special. With miCal HD an extremely well-received version for the iPad was introduced. Additionally, new functions were developed; that we hope will be advantageous to the user – such as exporting appointments as ICS or CSV data or the sending out of appointments as iMessage.”
miCal inventor Werner Hoier adds: “miCal is not only functional and useful, but also pleasing to the eye. It was very important to us that miCal HD for the iPad supports the retina display of the new iPad 3. The just released miCal update works perfectly with the iOS 6 and also takes advantage of the enlarged screen of the iPhone 5.”
