Fairfax, Virginia – Koloza LLC is pushing educational family games into the 21st century by allowing parents to easily upload screenshots of their’ kids work to Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter within the latest release of the Smart Kid ABC iPad app. Sharing your child’s latest spelling or alphabet victory with family and friends can now easily be done with a click of a button.
Screenshots can be shared from the Alphabet, Spelling, and My Name game modes by clicking the “Kudos Screenshot” button. Parents can choose to turn the “Kudos Screenshot” option on or off within the option menu. Other options include personalization by entering your child’s name (this is also used for the My Name game mode). The idea to allow parents to share screenshots of their’ kids work originally came to Frederik Koetje (app developer) when he was coming up with new ways to market his product.
Adding the social aspect to his game will give huge benefits to parents as well as helping to market his app. The new functionality was made possible by combining two technologies, namely ShareKit and iOS’s capability to take screenshots within an app. ShareKit allows iPhone developers to easily integrate Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and emailing capabilities into apps.
